Caster and Crowns, writing by Elizabeth Lowham is a book about a princess Aria, who sees that her kingdom is at the brink of war with “casters” people who are able to weld magic-decided for herself as the next in line for the thrown to talk to the most powerful caster in the whole realm, the “widow morton” but her plan goes wrong and instead of helping her and her kingdom she is hit with a horrible curse-Within 100 days her mind and body will go insane-she will not sleep, cannot eat much, and her mind and body will wast away until she dies, and when she dose the curse will pass onto her sister and her father until every member of the royal family is dead. The only way that Aira can break the curse is with the help of another caster-“baron Reeves” will she be able to break the curse and save herself and her family?
Honestly the book is a 50/50 for me, while i like the premiss of curses and magic-i thought that the lead would be more of a role in this then she was, while the whole book is from her POV i really though that she needed more time to show herself, without the help of Baron, and i feel as though him being there is just a reason for the main character to have a love interest, so for me the first part of the book really did hook me, but when it got more into the romantic setting it did throw me off, but other then that i found the book interesting, just probably something i wouldnt read again
